I have had 3dsmax6.0 for about a week and a half now and love the program, but I would like to have the models I make compatible with IL2 requirements, im wanting to return 3dsmax6.0 and am able to do so since im within the 30 day return policy. the local reseller has 3dsmax5.1 in stock and I would be able to purchase 5.1 if i returned 6.0.

not sure what to do.
will il2 eventually support 6.0?

thanks for help

Probably we'll never support 6.0. Even if we do it won't be for a looong time. We just very recently converted to 5.1, up until then it was 3.0 or below. We really don't utilize any of 6's new features, so it's really not worth for us to spend the time implementing support for it.

thx for the reply luthier!

Ive read over the new features list again and moving backwards from 6.0 to 5.1 wont have any problems for my overall purposes for the program and adding compatibility with your requirements makes 5.1 more worthwhile than 6.0 for me.

going to return it for 5.1 then upgrade when 3dsmax7.0 comes out http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
