View Full Version : Game doesn't start

Hi guys,
I buyed Rainbow Six Siege yesterday, but it won't start. When I click start, something is loading and Uplay synchronizes domething, but the game won't start. Not even a window opens or something like that.
I upadated my graphics card driver, BIOS driver and all other drivers that I found on the medion homepage for my PC. Besides, I have reinstalled the game and Steam checked if for faults, nothing helps Also, my PC fulfills the requirements for Rainbow Six Siege. I googled my problem, but I think I'm the only one with it.

Please help me, the Ubisoft Support is closed today but I want to play it today :/

I just bought and downloaded the game and have the same issue. I tried going to a previous graphics driver, didn't help.

Try installing UPlay from our website: https://uplay.ubi.com . Steam games come with a kind of UPlay-lite version which sometimes causes issues. You don't need to uninstall your game, just install the full UPlay client and it should start fine.

Same problem here. tried all the same solutions: Updating drivers, restarting PC, reinstalling game and now, with your recommendation, reinstalling Uplay but the game won't launch at all. I've played for the last 2 days with no problem and I don't think anything has changed since then. Any ideas? Thank you.

just saying you can make a ticket but you probably will never get an actual response thats not just copy pasted troubleshooting tips

Well I contacted support. After a short time of waiting for the "tech" to go over some information, I was disconnected from the chat for inactivity. And my ticket has sense been ignored. I work for a Hell Desk in IT, and this is unacceptable. However I'm here to offer a solution instead of complaining.

My solution is as follows.

I gave up with such rubbish support, and attempted to run rainbox6.exe from explorer, and I was greeted with msvcr100.dll was "missing"
So I skipped my way to microsoft and downloaded C++ distrib and now its working. You can find C++ here at the following link.

I suggest Ubisoft adds this to a common problem sticky, as I have seen many posts about this, and no resolution from said posters. Or at least state C++ is required for installation.

But this reply will probably fall on deaf ears.

To everybody in the thread: It's not uPlay. It's the game itself - the developers need to own the issue, and they're trying to deflect responsibility.

Hi there, I just bought the game yesterday and I have the SAME problem: I'm using Uplay, I press the "Play" button, then the splash screen appears with a message saying "synchronization with..." and then it closes... and that's it.
I've tried disabling the cloud saving and the overlay, but it doesn't work. Also tried reinstalling the game, changing the screen resolution of my screen, playing as administrator... Nothing works. The game hasn't even created the folder game into Documents > My Games route, there is nothing about Rainbow Six there.

Addtitional info: I've tried to start the game changing the compatibility mode. I have Windows7 with Service Pack 1. I tried with windows Vista and Windows 7 (yes, it allows you to choose that option, I don't understand) and surprise, the game STARTS, but it never connects with Rainbow Six Siege Server... so that's it.

Any ideas? I think it's incredible that a few months after the launch this issue is still happening. I want to play the game!!

I have the SAME issue , i have brought 60 the game , and I can not even see the main menu anyway!


UBISOFT !!!!!!!!!! WAKE UP ! This problem I had already on the beta of the game and I see that he still has not been fixed despite numerous tickets that were not supported by responsible

I have owned the game for months and the same thing is happening to me. I also have the full version of uplay and wont launch through there either.

recently origin would not launch because of msvcp140 and one other. I installed the 2017 version of that and ever since rainbow would not launch and my origin was fixed, In my program files for siege there is not a 2017 option. This is a possible reason for me. PLS halp!!!
