I kind of like the little castle on the point off Yalta.

There's a really nice valley that you can find by using the Russian QMB fighter sweep mission and flying about 30 degree's to your right. I always like flying the length of that. Eventually takes your to the coast (although the valley disappears).

There's also some other nice things with bridges and valleys on the Lvov map to the extreme south west.

If you're not considering just the historical maps, the online map I like best is the Online8, is it ? The one with the developer's names as cities and towns, like Olegovo, etc. That map is full of mountains and valleys, it could pass for an alpine location (Bavaria, Switzerland).

The mountains of Crimea are beautiful. If you haven't flown there since upgrading to AEP, go back and try it again! They've improved the detail there. More clutter and finer topographic details.

Kuban is also nice, but the mountains are smoother . It still looks great from high altitude. Also, notice that the highest mountains are clipped off at 3000m altitude. There are a few mountains in the highest part of Caucasus with flat tops, as as result of limitations in the sim.

Berlin is beautiful if you like big cities but your computer can't handle the Finland map. I suggest for everyone to look at Berlin again... they've replaced the old bridges with nicer looking bridge objects from Petersburg.

Normandy has the most detailed clutter. There are TONS of small villages and telegraph wires, etc. It's awesome. My only concern is one large strange hill about 30km east of Caen that doesn't match anything on real maps of the area.

The Ardennes map has a nice flak battery set up 15km east of Bastogne. There are concrete bunkers, telegraph wires and a radar station already set up. FMB users ought to take a look at it to get ideas for their own missions.
