Seems Xbox One's Season Pass isn't working for Jack the Ripper DLC.

True but in the E-Store in the game it says it is free but xbox store says it is 14.99 plus tax. I own the season pass and it should be free for me.

That's why I haven't downloaded it yet.

I hope an Admin sees this thread because I'm having the same problem

I talked to MS about the problem and it appears to be an issue for season pass holders only.

I got refunded for it and proceeded to purchase the DLC on its own instead.

Did they say they were trying to fix the problem?

Didn't say anything about fixing the problem - I don't think they were even aware of a problem until people started reporting it.

I think there's problems over on the PS4 too.

Found a way to download it-

If it shows ingame as a chargeable purchase then I suggest you do the following:
Come out of the game
Head to "My games & Apps"
Highlight "Assassins Creed Syndicate" and press the menu button
Choose "Manage Game"
Now scroll to the right and you will see the DLC is now waiting to be installed at no extra cost.

Bitterly disappointed.

We know that Jacob survives to WWI, so the DLC loses all that suspense/tension of having Jack trying to kill Jacob. If the WWI part had come later on as a DLC, the Ripper DLC would've been far more enjoyable. I do like the concept, and I liked they did one on Jack, however, I felt the story itself was pretty cliche - rogue assassin wanting to lay the blame on Jacob for something that happened in the past.

I kinda wish Jacob was the Ripper, or at least when he wore that piece Starrick had around his neck. He could've had a split personality problem - the Ripper at night, then Jacob during the daylight hours, and Evie has to save her brother from himself. I still really don't understand why Jacob was even in the game because Evie basically did everything anyway - it's kinda like Jacob was just there to continue the family line (even though Evie was the one who actually got into a relationship during the events of the game). The DLC is better than the main game, and I feel it really should've been the main with defeating the Blighters as a side thing.

I don't want to spoil much so I didn't read most of your paragraph Aquila even though I've had THAT spoiled at the beginning.

Anyway, how do we know Jacob made it to WW1? Does Lydia mention it somewhere? I forget. I almost feel like she says her Grandfather trained her.

I believe it states in her in-game bio that she moved Jacob and Evie to the Country at the onset of the War. And yes, she was trained by Jacob.

So, would you recommend purchasing it, or not? I'm a little confused how you feel about it, but I'm looking into getting people's opinions on whether or not I should buy it.

Tonally, it was so dark! I don't know how I feel about that!

It was like crossing porn with Disney - just no! Watching that vile man spit in Evie's face and try to grab her private parts was shocking!
And Evie totally tried to bribe lady Ower's husband with a threesome lol

I loved Jacob in this. He's changed... into Evie! Seriously, he's like a different person. He's a proper Assassin now with his little initiates - he is much more patient, a planner and more compassionate (the way he treated Nelly and Jack despite everything the latter had done)... and he's still very handsome. His hair is better.

The DLC is very buggy on PS4 though, dunno how the Oners are fairing. Had to restart missions quite a lot.
