NOT in the soviet navy. Their ships are invunerable! I flew a mistel into a destroyer and it didn't even stop firing.

Check it out

No wonder Germany lost http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That's actually not 100% accurate, my condor did kill a cargo ship .. maybe it was shallow water? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

That's not suprising. The Mistral is a strong wind from the NW affecting the eastern Mediterranean coast of France, from Marseille to St. Tropez. You should have tried a Mistel!!

I wouldn't join any club that would have ME as member!

Incidentally Destroyer110, what does the "Death's Head" pic in your sig refer to?

AFAIK, the Death's Head SS units were in charge of running the concentration camps. Or are you referring to something else?

Anyway, them Russkies build mighty strong ships you know http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

That was nothing... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I tried to do a kamikaze-attack against Tirpitz, using Mistel. I was very surprised to see my planeset flying THROUGH the ship from Y tower to the right side of the bow. It didn't explode at first, just flew through it like through air and crashed in the water next to the ship, was set on fire and exploded afterwards. Without result. If only I find out how to post a .trk file somewhere, I'll give it to you.
Sometimes funny things happen with those ships DMs.

Soviet ships wer made of delta wood. This not only gave them greater durabnility, but also improved performance at sea level !

Well what did I just say ?

By most accounts, delta wood is an amazing material. It makes strong men stronger, good-looking women even better looking, and above-average children superior. It turns world-class geeks into world-class athletes.

In a commando comic - Aces Wild, there's a BF 109E squadron with the death's head logo. I cannot find any actual death's head squadron but I've been informed the SS might? have had their own squadron of barmaids. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Colour scheme is out of the comic, so must be accurate.

Delta wood hummmm...must be some of that in the Ki-84 also...looked it up in the Dendrology book for virtual simulators and it is know as

Impenetrabolous Deltodies Uberaceae in latin

Commonly known as "Delta Wood" and translates to "impenetrable weightless super wood"

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
