I left this on a PS2 site. I couldnt help it. some guys were crying about the cancelled release of a flight sim for PS2 called Medal of Honor:Fighter Command. So if we get an influx of console gamers you can blame me... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif

You will never get a decent console flight sim untill you can get one with a HOTAS (Hands On Throttle And Stick) set up with rudder pedals.. and one that can give you the feeling of flight. You need these things to bring over the hardcore simmers.... the people who will not be content with just flying around shooting things but want some semblance of realism.... the people like me. Flight sims are a very narrow niche market..most developers dont consider them worth thier while. Your little hearts are broken eh? You want to fly the unfriendly skies of WW2 combat you say? Well you need to go here first.... http://www.il2sturmovik.com/ . This is the best WW2 combat flight sim on the market today.... bar none. This community has members from 15 to 75. Graphics to knock your eyes out. With the new Aces Expansion Pack for IL2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles you have well over 100 planes to choose from. Several variants of different planes..whith each one flying different......... The P-38,P-40,P-47,P-51,P-39,Me109,FW-190,La5,Yaks from the Yak 3 to the Yak 9,BF-110s and much much more. Damage models that will BLOW YOUR MIND. Flight models that are second to none. A flight sim so scalable that you can go from arcade style, unlimmited fuel and ammo and no death...to locked in the cockpit having to watch your fuel, manage your engine and depend on visual cues from the stunningly rendered landscape below to find the action..but be carefull..... you may get bounced from on high by determined, aggressive, very....very..... skilled bandits.... bent on making you a lawn dart in some farmer's field. The AI pilots in Forgotten Battles are the best ANYWHERE. You want to fly? You want to come the closest you will ever get to date to flying combat missions over Berlin....defending the Fatherland...or escorting the B-17s determined to lay it waste? Come to the war gentlemen. Be warned... this is a PC sim...... It's requirements are high. It takes skill. If quick gratification is your thing then this isnt for you. If you want to be challenged...immersed in an experience unlike any other you have ever known in a video format...... then come fly the unfriendly skies of IL2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles. It takes a decent computer. Anything less than a 1.4GHZ computer with a 128M graphics card and 512M of RAM will more than likely choke. Online gaming? We fly online every night at the Hyperlobby. People of all ages from all over the world..... flying in all kinds of servers from arcade style shootemups to Full Realistic no frills as real as it gets without dieing warfare. Bomber escorts...ground attack.... troop support... fighter sweeps you name it. Virtual squadrons representing everyone from the Tuskegee Airmen and Zemke's Wolfpack to The Aztec Eagles and the Yellow nosed Mes of JG26. Russian...British.......Japanese.... German... Italian..... If you love warbirds..if you love flight....... come to the WAR. COME..... To IL2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles.

I wont be back here. I stumbled across this place looking for something else. I saw the forum and read your posts. I always reach out to anyone and everyone who can appreciate a good flight sim. You can keep your console. It does have its place. But if you want to fly.....really fly...... and not leave your seat....... now you know where to go.

Hey Bear don't look at it as what you might drag in but as who you might rescue.
My girls 1st got me intrested in vid games on an old Nintendo. I can't even remember the game now but it was craptastic to say the least.
Now here I am 13 years later because I ran into a dude like yourself who saw me holding a copy of X wing something or another in one hand and reading the box for Red Baron 3D. He said not really my business but if you got a PC at home you might find that Red Baron a tad more of a challenge...God bless him

You should cut and paste this on every forum you visit even if it isn't a game forum http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif Hell you should spray paint this on walls, post it through peoples letter boxes and hide it in the magazines at the newsagents. Spread the word we need more noobs in the sky for me to shoot at!
