Hi,

Anyone else getting error 0x80080204?

Xbox site says its because my OS is incorrect, but I'm on the latest version (checked in settings). Anyone else had this?

I'm also getting this error. I've checked my system and no updates are needed. I also just performed a hard reset and it didn't help at all.

So I pre-ordered the gold edition a long time ago. When I went to the marketplace I clicked the regular game and it told me to reinstall. I'm in the process of doing that but I hope this will fix the issue. I would recommend you looking at the same thing. If nothing else try uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

Please try the following and if it does not help you will need to contact Xbox Support (http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us).


Solution


Press the Xbox button to return to Home.
Press the Menu button and select Settings (or select Settings on the Home screen).
Select System.
Select Console info.
Select Update available.
Install the update.
Once the update is completed, download and launch the app.

Uninstalling and re-installing the core game fixed this issue for me.

I restarted my console and it worked.
