Heads-on firing was not a safe practice after all ?
Jussi Huotari: It was not specially recommendedâ.....
And later, as the Russians were armed with 20mm cannons, it was unwise to meet them heads-on

Probably gameport through a USB converter. The electronics would be surprisingly basic; it would just depend how much time and effort you would want to put into cosmetics and knobs/levers

Wow it was definitely worth it with my dial-up to see everything. There's no question this is the best effort I've ever seen for a die-hard flight simmer. Keep us posted mate http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Long thread to read all at once.

So I suppose Mr F. uses some other system. Okay, but it can be done simply; I've recently finished a "Black Box" with nothing more than three pots in it which augments my X45 by handling all the trim controls. Cost less than a tenner to do. Now if I really wanted to go to town, there's no reason why the contents of that same box could not be spread around a cockpit and capped with appropriate levers/handles/knobs, whatever. at the moment it goes through one of my game ports, but since it's just the first of a series of modules I intend to do, It will be shoved through a usb converter and bus so there's plenty of room for expansion. I don't have the time, money or skil to do anything on the scale of funhouse's project, but I can approximate a cockpit fairly cheaply.

BTW, Very cool stuff, funhouse! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif
