looks excellent. I was wondering can you release a version just in gray no yellow engine cover, green stripe or white tail?

I was looking for a all greys one with a black and white spinner since you have the template.

A speck of dirt on your windscreen could turn into an enemy fighter in the time it took to look round and back again. A little smear on your goggles might hide the plane that was coming in to kill you.

Magnific skin, and great work with weathering. Only... those grey tones are too neutral to be true RLM colors... They are the typical grey we are used to see here and there in models, films and simulators, even in some outdated profiles, but they are not authentic.

You should try with RLM 74,75 & 76. They would also improve the 'feel' of the skin. Take on account it is intended to act as camouflage, and so neutral grey is not common in nature.

It's the same with Wehrmacht uniform colors, we always see them in neutral grey in the movies, and we are used to hear they were in grey, but in reality they were rather greenish.

Also, I'd make the 'gelb' undernose a little more goudy: it was a marking intended to be seen from far.

Anyway, it's a real good job. Keep them coming! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

after extracting the .zip files to the skins folder..can you safely delete the .zip file and just keep the .bmp files ?

Sorry Dux, that's not correct. The uniform of most units in the Heer (army) was Feldgrau (field grey). There were only a few like the J├┬Ąger (light infantry) or Gebirgsj├┬Ąger (mountain troops), who used to wear greenish uniforms.

BTW:
Luftwaffe's uniforms were grey-blue, in most color pics the contrast is too high, so they often appear deep blue, just like actual Luftwaffe uniforms. But that is wrong they were more grey-blue that time.

Nice Skin!

the ZIP files are utterly useless

they will do nothing

for you to have this skin , you need the BMP (bitmap skin file) to be in the right plane folder

the zip is just that , a zipped up collection . . . . . not useable to FB
