Yes, first it become unstable, then in game some dots & blots began to shows up. In shop they told me that they will take my card and give me FX5600. What do you think? Are they comparable? I've look in Tom's HW, but I'm not impressed. Does anybody have experience with FX 5600 in IL-2 FB?

Its not a very good card, I think the 4200 had more power. If you can spend more have it replaced with a 4600/4800 or a 5700. If you can get your money back, Pricewatch has good prices.

For my broken GF4200ti 128, I can get:
R9600 Pro,
GF FX 5700, or
GF FX 5600 ultra. (for additional payment of course). What kind of experience do you have with those graphics? Which card do you recommend?

stay far away from the FX series IMO. TI series are good. FX are overpriced garbage.

Been there, done that, bought an ATI card in the end.

Last year I fell for all the hype around the new Geforce FX series cards that NVidia flooded all the web with (the cinematic computing thing)and "upgraded" my vid card from a GeForce4ti4200 128Mb to a GeForceFX5600, almost no difference in performance, sometimes even the GF4 outperformed the GFX5600. Worst 170 bucks I ever spent in my entire life. Had my car run over the GFX card since no one would buy the damn thing.

Bought an ATI AIW 9700pro after that and couldn`t be happier even 6 months later now! I`m keeping the 9700pro (my first ATI card) for at least 12 more months (runs IL-2FB and LoMAc like a dream), until the new ATI R400 series cards get within reasonable price ranges, then I`ll surely snag one. It`s no more NVidia for me.
