I'm not married but I can still imagine my wife nagging about that thing. F4 with SP4+BMS has the best looking rocket smoke I've ever seen, I love dodging SAMs its now my favorite past time. Apart from FB of course.

Hehe, I'm glad you guys like my cockpit. As you can see it's still very much under construction. The photo you linked to shows some of the work I've been doing recently including some cardboard test fit part patterns for the small glareshield and front side console modules.

If you like F-16 cockpits you should check out www.viperpit.org/forum/ (http://www.viperpit.org/forum/)

Mine is just one of many projects there and you'll see several that put my humble 'pit to shame.

Incidentally I fly a lot of IL-2 FB in addition to the electric jet =P

Keep em flying!

WOW and I'm stuck with a girlfriend who's playing notjing but The Sims. It would be really nice to have more women playing FB online. In the old Il2 I knew one, and she was AWESOME in the P-39, must have something to do with their ability to multi-task http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

And to Bearcat99: I believe you meen "gals" when you says "guys", right? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

Hello Angela!

Good to have you aboard here! I could imagine that your sim of choice for those pits is Falcon 4. Do any of the viper pit makers fly IL2 and/or Lock-On besides Falcon? The pits you people make are very professional and authentic looking. I was thinking of making the same but for a P-51 or Bf-109 but rather I am turning my room into a small WW2 aviation museum with pictures, models, memorabilia, medals, music, history, etc. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Ntesla,

You're correct about the sim of choice for the viper pit group. Falcon 4 with the latest superpak and BMS is absolutely unequaled by any other simulation in realism, detail, and fidelity. And it specifically models the F-16 extremely well. So there really is no choice about which sim my cockpit is designed for.

I (and others in the group) do definitely very much enjoy flying other sims but until a better viper sim comes along the f-16 will still be our primary addiction.

I have thought of doing a P-51 cockpit too. I think it would be a lot of fun and much less expense and trouble than the F-16C pit.

Check Six!
