The skin is good, but what happen with the pic here? It doesn't seem to have enough details. Are you using a Low- detail settings, Why?

In what respect? It is early morning with a mist in the air, no i run full settings, the picture is also a composite i build them up for screenshot as its impossible to get olegs muppets flying the AI planes into position, the red 3 plane i painted a skin just to do the picture/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif But you have to reemember the shot is built to display the skin in a period feel and not to show of a pretty background

Similarly, the picture here was built up to use as a screenshot on www.il2skins.com (http://www.il2skins.com) to show the skin off in various views

I like the skins but see NO pannel line detail or rivets /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Is that the real skin? or are your settings fubared?

here is what a hammered skin looks like in game.

actually this isn't that good of a shot for detail but it's still there /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The panel lines and rivets are there, its just the way the lihts hitting it, but they are understated as the way a lot of skins show them it resembles a boiler with huge great rivets, sort of an "Airfix kit look", you do not see much of a countersunk rivet in real life, infact if you see much of em you havn't put them in right. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
I have tried to model them to real life on the skin as i not only skin Aircraft here for FB but when im at work I skin Real ones too......
This picture will help get across what i mean

Looks like the pilot is from Cologne/K├┬Âln. He sure likes his carnival.("Fashing", German Mardy Grass week.)

Taylortony, thanks for the gorgeous pic and skin (downloaded already.)
WTE Galway, thanks also for the pic. Is that the Champlain Museum's D-13? Look at the size of that reduction gear! And the beautiful cast engine mount! For those picking nits, it's a Junkers Jumo 213, not a DB, but who cares? Great pic of some very meticulous restoration work in progress.

Why is that??? In the real war, you would Not always have had #'s (1), 2, 3, 4 flying as a formation/schwarme etc. Nore would the 2nd rotte always be #'s 5,6,7,8... That is a weakness of FB..VERY minor and unworthy of comment other than in this thread. Formations/rotten would have been formed of whichever aircraft/pilots were available as losses occurred on a daily basis, etc.. they would Not have repainted Acft Numbers for each mission to be sequential.

That's my obsewrvation/thought...however, perhaps I misinterpreted your comment... is there some other significance to not wanting to see #19 next to # 3 ? Is it a "luck" or "omen" kind of thing?? I'm curious now. thanks

Wiley Long time no see buddy /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif How are you doing??????

I picked red 3 as the other one, and painted it up just to take that picture and make up a composite shot as it was the first number to come into my head, LOL to thinking they all fly by the numbers hehehehe, suppose that the Royal Air Farce would have to line em up A B C D E F G etc hehehehe, No aircraft ever flew like that unless as a publicity shot /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif remember people got promoted so they would end up leading a formation, imagine the head ache, hey im Number One now, so you can have my plane 3 etc hahaha.
Suppose the RAF would be stuffed when it came to the CO's Query wouldn't they, where would you stick him in a perfect formation?

hey they didnt even park em in Stabs
