What are the cannon and machine gun rounds of the 109/ 190 made from? I've never really thought about it much, I've always just accepted the fact that they have considerable fire power but I notice when their rounds hit the ground they seem to explode. If you have a train of 109's and 190's behind you taking pot shots at very low level at times it can look like a fire works display http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

You're seeing incendiary rounds "explode" when you see that effect, typically, but not all of the effects are consistent with the kinds of rounds being shot. Hispano Suiza 20mm AP, NS-45 AP and NS-37 AP shows no effect on impact - just a tiny puff of debris. MG151/20 rounds always use the 20mm explosion effect regardless of whether it's MG or HE or APIT. ShVAK AP and all MG151/15 rounds always use a little sparkle effect.

That's before you start going into which HE rounds leave a puff of dust or explode on impact with the ground. That's completely inconsisent but I don't think it's of any major importance.

I believe there's also a bug with the order of rounds getting reset if the trigger is pressed and then released before the full sequence of an ammo belt is run through, but I'm still compiling data on that to submit to Oleg. Some of the MK-108, NS-37, NS-45 and MG151/20 rounds in particular seem to leave a tracer trail for rounds that shouldn't have a tracer so far - not so important for the faster firing ones but it's handy to know what the next round will do with the slower firing guns.

Yup, should all do the same thing [HE] and all leave a tracer.
