Hopefully waaay too many to make a poll, so write in what Crap plane you want Luthier to make for PF (or to include from the FB)

I'll start with Ki~27

Nice Ki~27 pics, *New* WW2 website ---> http://www.wwiitech.net/main/japan/aircraft/ki-27/

Also, take I~16 and I~153 SB, DB, U~2 from the FB (USA Flying Tigers used I~153 for training)....or make FB and PF compatible so we won't have Panic Attacks. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I think the Wirraway would be enough for the Aussies - it's the pilot and not the plane as they say http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Hmmm... crap planes.

Got to love them http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

My vote goes to (drum roll please):

A5M 'Claude'

Designed in 1934.
First flown in combat in 1937.
Final production model made in 1944 (two seat trainer).
Total production around 1100.
Distrusted by Japanese pilots initially because; A) it was a monoplane and B) it was too "Speedy"
Not so crap though when you think about it.

"During the conflict with the Soviet Union along the Manchukuo-Mongolia border throughout 1939 the A5M proved the biggest menace to the Russian aircraft, having earlier, on 2 December 1939, destroyed no fewer than ten i-16B's of the Chinese in one dogfight over Nanking"

This with just two 7.7mm machine guns! Would love to put my A5M up against some Rata's.

Other votes go to the Nakajima ki -27 and the Kawasaki ki-10.

And of course this:

The Kawanishi N1K1 Kyofu. the best float plane fighter in the world! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

I'm going to make a confession here and admit that I don't know all too much about Crap Planes.
However, thats where FB/PF comes in. I hadn't ever heard of an I-16 before FB, but I flew it, and I liked it. And it was good. Now I like I-16 very much.
Even Buffalo, I passed over it before FB, but I found it was fun to fly, so now I like it better.
Hopelfully PF will have good representation by Crap Planes, so I and others will discover other lovable but obscure Crap Planes.

Still, I'm intersted in flying P-35, P-36, and P-43.

Also, Crap Planes go hand-in-hand with CBI, so hopefully we can fly them there. Will it be China map or map of China?

This plane [CW21] looks interesting:

Well, crap, eh, slow rather http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Because most of these older planes were better than the more modern ones in manverablity!

You're currently no better, your airforce today consists of training aircraft!!!!
Although we (australia) used a few of those as bombers http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif But mostly B-24's and Hudsons.
