I have been downloading AC: Unity for a week and I finally got it downloaded, go to start it and it crashes. I try to verify the files, it finds several corrupt parts, and the entire launcher crashes and, even after restarting my computer, it refuses to start up again. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Devoid777, and welcome to the forums!

First, I'd like you to make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements for Assassin's Creed Unity. For your convenience, I've linked the minimum requirements here (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/FAQ/9/4043/minimum-requirements-for-assassins-creed-unity/kA030000000eiJKCAY). Please note the OS, graphics card and processor requirements.

If you do meet the minimum requirements, here are some further suggestions;

1) Make sure your video card drivers are up to date. NVidea typically does this automatically, but please check to make sure your drivers are within 4 months.
2) Try disabling your background applications. If you have no issues with background applications disabled, the issue might be caused by one of them
3) Make sure you are up to date with your windows updates and Direct X installations, as our games need those to run.
4) You can clear your temporary files.

If you still have issues after doing all of these, I suggest opening up a ticket on our support site and include your dxdiag/msinfo files. This guide (https://support.ubi.com/en-US/FAQ/9/3888/how-to-submit-dxdiag-and-msinfo-files/kA030000000emSbCAI) is helpful for opening up a ticket with the relevant files.

both minimum and recommended specs say Windows 8/8.1. I'm running Windows 10, should that matter?

I've already made a Support ticket, that was 6 days ago and I still haven't gotten a response. I will upload the DxDaig and MSInfo files to the support ticket. If you wish to see it the Case # is 02445511.
