3 hours trapped on a major freeway with two screaming kids because of this...

Still, nice job to the pilot.

Very nice job indeed. I hope nobody was hurt as a result. Your ear drums will heal with time...

Be glad it wasn't a 747 or a B52! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

"So when Diogenes perceived that he was greatly excited and quite keyed up in mind with expectancy, he toyed with him and pulled him about in the hope that somehow he might be moved from his pride and thirst for glory and be able to sober up a little. For he noticed that at one time he was delighted, and at another grieved at the same thing, and that his soul was as unsettled as the weather at the solstices when both rain and sunshine come from the very same source."

(Dio Chrysostom "Discourse" 4.77-78)

Were alcohol or drugs a factor in this incident?

I still haven't seen the details on the news. I think maybe the FAA had to come and investigate??? That is the only reason I can imagine for which they would make us wait. I know one person could easily push it off the road.

As for drugs being a factor. My wife and I made the liquor store our first stop before home. We really needed a drink.

Bad weekend? Pfft.

I go to this open bar wedding saturday, and there's all these hot girls there...married, all of them, even the one who asked me, at the bar, no less, "So. What do you think my name is?" http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

Then there's the party after the reception. One of these hot married girls is up on a table, now. OK, I'm off, or I'll be in big trouble.

SO I drive home. While on my way, I'm at a red light. A Boston cop pulls up next to me, rolls down his window and says, "nice car. What year?"

"1970," I tell him.
"what's it got?" he asks
"Buick 455 bored out to 462, 10:1 pistons, big tube headers"
"Huh." He says. "I have a 70 Chevelle with an LT1 350. If you ever want to see how fast a real muscle car can go, I'll race you sometime"

WHAT?! This cop wants to street race?! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

I drove home and went straight to bed. I didn't leave the house at all the next day, I was too scared.

Not even close. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I forgot to add that I was walking back to my car after shooting this picture and a bee stung me on my toe. I was holding one of my kids and didn't want to drop her. So I limped all the way back to the car with this angry bee stuck on my toe. It still hurts and it looks infected.

At least I had to be at work by 6am this morning, though. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/35.gif
