Maybe I haven't flown enough online but I never see weather change. Rain, snow, I guess it is to distracting for everyone but I think it would be cool to incorporate it on atleast 1 or 2 maps. I know that in most operations during the war, squadrons were dependent on good weather, but mother nature is not always good right?

All depends on the map the host is using. I have flown in a howling snowstorm and a thunderstorm at night.

Some people enjoy flying in limited visibility but not me. The limitations on visibility (no peripheral vision, planes that don't render clearly until they are less than a half mile away) are already so awful (in any sim flown on a PC) that adding thunderstorms and blizzards isn't enjoyable to me. OTOH, some people may think it more immersing.

First, I don't fly DF, so it's not an issue as far as I am concerned.

But in Coops (as in Off Line), any time you fly limited visibility (crappy weather, night, etc.) you are just handing the fight to the AI planes.

The AI can see you in the dark. They can kill you inside a cloud. It's a real weakness in IL-2/FB.

If I'm flying off line or hosting on line, the worst you'll see is haze. But, If I join a Coop and it happens to have a storm or be a night mission, I won't leave it just because of the weather.
