View Full Version : Should Aveline's ability to freeze time in AC3:L be considered a First Civ ability?

So in AC Liberation you can freeze time during Combat and choose the next few targets you want to attack. Each selected target instantly dies when attacked with this ability. I was wondering how we should interpret this. Can Aveline actually do this because of her first civ DNA? Or is this a game mechanic and nothing more? The reason I ask is that if a character can freeze time and plan attacks what limits can a Assassin have when it comes to their abilities? Some assassins seem to have unique variations of Eagle Vision. Like Ezio's ability in AC Revelations to track enemy footprints or Edward's ability to mark and see enemies through walls.

Also would this help to justify Evie's ability to turn invisible? What happens when a First Civ human unlocks their full potential?

It's a game mechanic - think the RDJ Sherlock Holmes film where you hear him plan out a fight in his head, then carry it out in about 3 seconds.

The EV stuff is also just an representation of how the brain processes and interprets little clues as to where a guard's been/going.
