View Full Version : Uplay Recommended Drop #55

07-30-2015, 03:07 PM
Even on Assembly Thursday we’re bringing out a five-piece helping of Uplay Recommended. From the natural world to the ultra-bright. Asking powerful questions such as “How skilled are you?” or “How epic are Thor's pecks?” this week has enough awesome for everyone.

Pain, Blows & White Lies by Rishaanvb
This track is deceiving in its apparent simplicity. What seems to be all rainbows and sunshine is a demanding track that expects near-mastery of the bike to pull off some of the jumps. The speed needed and the rotation control expected of you is fairly crazy if you are hoping for a top time, or even a platinum. Getting there is rough, but it’s also satisfying.

BCC4: Prophecy by S1LVA CONCEPT
By Odin’s beard, this track is amazing. It does paint Thor and Odin out to be jerks, but hey, I say satire. Hopefully nobody ends up getting Valhalla for this track’s creation. What we have here is a slightly technical flowing track that features some awesome Mjolnir checkpoints, lightning all over the place, and a really nice crash animation make this track stand out.

Extinct volcano [FG] by FG-312
Stepping up in difficulty a bit is Extinct volcano, which doesn’t really seem all that extinct, a nice mix of physics setup technical obstacles followed by a short flowing section make for a nice overall track that features a well realized theme and quite a bit of animation work.

Fungal Cavern by WarDrumsGames
The cavern is pretty unforgiving. I hope you bring a towel with you to wipe up your salty tears (I may be talking to myself). The whimsical and colorful theme of this track is in a shocking contrast to the ease with which you can get smacked off of your bike. All in all, this makes the buildup of rage transform into sheer maniacal glee when you 0f the track.

Mantle Plume by Eevan80
Following up on the cavern is another tough track by Eevan. This one is all technical, all the way, and it is an awesome test of constant skill. I want to say that the line takes center stage here, but the use of editor pieces and effects all mesh very well to form a theme that lends to the overall experience. I really dig this track.

There are our recommendations for the week. Check them out, put them through their paces and let us know what you think. Don’t forget to let us know about any awesome creations we may have missed.

Until next week, riders!
