Please don't throw stones, I'm not a regular on this board.

Has 1C given any thought to developing a modern jet sim/game?

*throws stone*

You should be glad you don't live in a glass house, young man!

I think the Korean era of jets would convert to the current generation of the IL-2 game engine very well. Plus I have a little thing for the F-86 (not just because it shares Maxwell Smart's number either).

A modern sim would have to be special to topple the likes of LOMAC and such though. But I'd play whatever they threw at me.

With LOMAC and the supposed ressureciton of Falcon, there is little room left for a modern high fidelity sim. It would have to do something special to compete against those two, and even then, there is a question why one would try to divide such a small market even more.

Anything prior to 1972, however, is fair game. SF is the only modern sim covering the post-WW2 jet era, and it has a ways to go.

Id like to see a Korean era style sim too. If we had a Mig-15 and an F-86 in here it would be all we would need. Well not all but........

Would love a Korean War sim. No stones in my hand.

I'ld like to see a jet sim from the era when the MiG-21 was king.

"England, on effect is insular. She is maritime. She is linked through her trade, her markets, her supply lines to the most distant countries ... She has, in all her doings, very marked and very original habits and traditions. In short England's nature, England's structure, England's very situation differs profoundly from those of the Continentals."

Look at the AEP .ntrk "YP-80 vs. Me-262". Couldn't you just imagine for a moment if those were F-86s and MiG-15s. We are that close. Plus we wouldn't lose the late war piston-engined fighters as both sides used them in the war.

Btw, I still dont understand why there are not on Hyperlobby currently some jets servers, for instance with the YP-80 and the He-162 which fit very well together for a fair fight!

I host "jets only" dogfights from time to time, and it goes quite fine...

Had to remove the Horten, however, this thing just does everything too good for a balanced game... turns on a dime, climbs like a bat out of hell, and these 30mm cannons are just plain deadly

oooh. please! furballs in jets, over the Yalu River? Lo-mac does not come close to the adrenaline you get coming to within firing range in FB/AEP. Having heard so many stories from family member about the conflict, I have a particular interest in a Korean War sim.

I'm thinking hardware demands, "playability" and fidelity of IL2 and FB but with jets (Korean War era for all reasons listed http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif Modern era too!)

LOMAC is excellent, but I want to spend more of my money to fly other jet sims, instead of waiting for another hardware generation or two to pass. I have a very capable PC, but not enuf to fly LOMAC the way I expect to.

They had a Korean Flight Sim, Mig Alley. I thought it wasn't that good.
