If someone would be kind enough to offer advice I would like to submit some tracks but do not have personal connection to the Internet. How can I do it ? Could I take to a computer shop for example? Also I cannot identify which version of IL-2 I have purchased either from the box , manuel or software. How can I do that?
Your kindness is appreciated.
please reply to Ben.

first of all u will have to make them NTRK's or every time a new version comes out they will be obsolete.since mudmovers closed down IL2 is the only other site that hosts them.

And to answer your question the files are quite small and can be uploaded easily from another computer and when u load the game it will tell u what version u have ie 1.0 1.22 or 2.00

Are you trying to submit tracks for the community to view or do you wish to send them to Oleg as part of a bug report? If the latter, a search of Oleg's Ready Room will turn up an email address. For the former, there are a number of sites that provide small amounts of free web hosting space. You can upload from just about any computer with an internet connection, just follow the instructions on the site you choose.

The program version is shown on your loading screen, bottom left.

Ntrks are only available in Forgotten Battles, but not in the original IL-2. Their file size can be quite large (several MB) and you can't compress them. So they can easily exceed the maximum size of certain free email accounts or the bandwidth usage of your webspace, if many people download them.

Trks are not compatible between different versions but are much smaller files if you zip them.
