Less than a month ago I called Microsoft and told them my Precision 2 had quit working. They took down the product ID and serial number on the bottom, and shipped me a new one in four days. Don't lose any time. Get to the MS website and find that number. I can't find it right now. I posted it in this forum a few weeks ago so if you do a search on my name you might find it that way. I know they quit marketing these sticks but apparently they still have a few in stock to ship out. S!

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Hi. I ordered about 5 of them from Omron. Actually, I found out that one of their distributers had a location just set up in my town! I just called them and had them order the switches which came in about a week later and I only paid about $10 for all of them.

Anyway try this site. You are looking for the B3M long-throw tactile switches and may even be able to order them online there.

It's a bit tricky getting at it and keeping the stick handle together at the same time so you'll need a soldering iron with a longer thin tip and some proper solder as well as some needle-nose pliers to hold it.

I also recommend being very observant about how you take the handle apart so you can put it back together the way it's supposed to go.

Oh, and you'll need to pop out button 4 to be able to fit both sides of the handle back together and once you are done you can simply push it back in from the outside where it will just snap back into place.

I realized afterward that I can't twist the stick much counterclockwise but haven't bothered to fix it because I use rudder pedals anyway.

Good luck!

yeah, im worried about this for the future with my ffb2 stick... i had the same prob with my old ffb1 but i was able to use the switches from an old sidewinder pro... works just fine, i think they're pretty much a standard design so if anyone in future cant get new switches, pretty much any old microsoft stick will do.
