Great! Downloading now, thanks for the heads up.
Meanwhile, if anyone else could add their own experience with these...

Would you say the beta drivers perform as well as the 4.2s, or better? (In Perfect and in general.)

Don't do it! Just uninstalled 4.2 and loaded these beta drivers.

They don't work at all on my system. I'm going to wait for the proper release and give them another try.

Dont do it if you want to run Perfect. You will get a 1/2 second stutter every 2 seconds. Its annoying and unplayable.

I got 400% frame rate increase with these using perfect 1024x768 P3.2 9800XT, Win XP SP1.

Before it was unplayable now I am getting ~55 FPS average with anti-aliasing and anisotropic (set to performance) at 4X. They are staying on my system.

They seem to work well for me on a 9800 Pro. Definate frame rate increase. Water is interesting as well.

I tried them, run ok on excellent, about the same FPS as 4.1s better frames on perfect, but strange occurances here and there, some flashes of black dots and lines...not often, but happens.

I rolled back to 4.1 for now. They seem to be golden, at least to me.

V!

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

After playing on-line for about an hour I started getting some tearing. Irritating, but still very playable.
