Stumbled across this, apparently a user from the AC Wiki has a cousin that works at Ubisoft Montreal(if it's true or not is another matter) but look what we have here. Any thoughts?

Picture won't show, click on the link to the AC Wiki an see it instead.

Probably one of those announced comics, Brenden Fletcher, Karl Kerschl and Cameron Stewart are all comic book writers, although they all work for DC and those announced comics are from a different company.

Nope, it wouldn't be Russia but most probably German.

Look on the helmet of right figure in background. That "spike" on it is typical for German army. Russian, Austrian and French helmets of regular soldiers hadn't them.

While it does look interesting, you have to admit the image is really low quality. This is usually the field of fakery, with over the top filtering placed on the image to cover obvious image manipulation. I'm leaning towards that, until I see anything further, though the main image itself looks like a nice art piece.

I thought it unlikely they would misspell Kerschl.

Well, that didn't take long. You can only trust plane stories and not cousins who work here and there
