Sorry, i´m a newbie and i'm spanish so my english is very bad. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Maybe this question has been answered thousands of times, but i didn't find it... i'm very sorry http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

The questions:

1- Will be released any PF patch for IL2FB? i know that a standalone version will exist.

2- There will be any way to combine IL2FB with PF?

3- The same about BoB. BoB patch? will be possible to add-on onto IL2FB?

Lots, hundreds, thousands, millions of THANKS!!! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

NamuanbumawwwI'm not even gonna try...

PF is standalone - no patch to FB

There as yet is no indication that we will be able to combine the two ... no importing of planes or maps.

Bob will be a whole new flight sim from the ground up... new architecture and everything...more advanced FM's to take advantage of newer better hardware.

fraid not, tho perhaps BoB will evolve into what you seek, if the engine is sophisticated enough it should be able to maintain a long life, and sustain multiple additions as well (no bodging the code to fit them in like with IL2)

When PF hits - war on the eastern front will become a very quite place. When BoB hits the market, the pacific will become a very quiet place. 1c - excellent strategy to keep them as separate entities $$$$ Does it makes sense economically to keep these theaters as mere patches? I'm glad they broke them apart. Each one requires extensive attention and if they were kept as patches, then none of them would ahve added much to the game except new flyable planes and maps. I want all new stuff like improved damage modeling and a totally redesigned sound engine.

Well I don´t htnik that either FB or PF will be too quiet, there are lots of people that fly or will fly that particular sim becouse of the theater not the tecnology that the sim involves...

I would not stop flying PF becouse of BOB becouse the BOB theater is not as apealing to me as the PTO.

BOB will need to have something that sets it apart way, way a part to interest me.
Something in the line of radars, or FAC or a trully dynamic campaign with persistant damage or a way to influence the way of the war a la SWOTL.
To fly very acurate Spits and Messies won´t cut it for me any more. I am prety happy with FB´s acuracy.

FB is a kick butt game - don't get me wrong. The thing is a lot of folks have been flying Il2, Il2:FB, Il2:FB AEP for thest last few years and no other sim. It's just a matter of time before a great sim falls by the way side. Hard to keep a passion up for something for so long. Look at the greats such as EAW or WWII Fighters. HL has rooms for these but they are vacant. What I think will happens is that PF will come out and folks flying Il2:AEP will dip drastically. A year after PF has been released, you may see a temporary spike in folks flying AEP again but just as that happens, BOB is unleashed. AEP as you know it will become the way of an extinct species.

I Still don´t Agree. Its just a matter of having a better sim to fly.

I have friends that are still flying (8 pilots -max alowed- every night) Janés F/A-18, simply becouse there is no other sim that portarys modern naval operations that good.

Ask the Falcon 4.0 bunch, how long have they been flying it....

Yes general gamers will migrate, but real sim pilots will stick with the sim that better portarys their favorite Theater or plane.

So BOB should be a far better Flight Simulator to atract my attention. Not onlly better graphics.
Since I am not de tiniest bit interested in the Battle of Britain, since I hve flown it in every WWII sim up to date.
I am sure it will be a better depitction of the birds involved in That particular battle.
Yes but hey, I want to fly Corsairs and Hellcats and Zeros, and upmost Take off and Land in carriers in a realistic manner... And Bob will not have that.

Will I buy it? Probabbly yes, to support and thank Oleg for a grate line of flight simulators. Will I fly it, not much...
