To tell the truth, I've used it as all of the above, but as level bombing goes, I suck at it. lol. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif It can be used, I beleive, in good hands as all of them. Though as a AAA Escort it might be too vunerable from Below.

BTW, I didn't vote cuz like I said - All of the Above. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

We.. AEP is a little different from in real life... But in terms of the game...

Level Bombing:
Works fine, Given that's what it was built for.. Assuming that it makes it to the target, since it's easy meat for most fighters.

Heavy Dive bomber:
Honestly, I've never tried it.. Hmmm.. the TuBby's surprisingly maneuverable for such a big bird, But forward visibility isn't that great. ..unless you fly from the bombardier position. Even then pulling out of your dive would be a bt of a chore..

Low Level Mobile AAA:
Could have it's uses..there's a LOT of guns we very good firing arcs.. But not too much range.. And they don't pack quite enough punch to stop an AC as fast as it probably needs to. And again, you're liable to get splattered if an enemy AC decides to take you out.

Transport attack:
Hmm... guns only should work great agianst soft targets.. Especially on the nose gun.. and the rear turret on the later models. Not sure about suceptibility to ground fire..But it should soak up low-caliber rounds okay.. But I don't see it lasting long aginst 20mm and up. and god help you if you fly over any flak at low level. I wouldn't even bother attacking armored columns without some bombs. Actually,1 or 2 TB at low level against armored columns should work pretty well.. Just fly over them and drop. SOMETHING has to hit..

Escort AAA platform:
It's about the slowest AC In the game, so I'm not sure what it could escort...Ground targets, perhaps. In which case any attacking AC would just squick the TB's and then lay in on the ground targets...

And two you forgot:

Ultimate cheapo vulching platform.
Parachitist assasination platform:
I'm usually against chute chuting..But sometimes I just can't resist popping a chute or two offline. Being the target of so many ruthless attacks as a TB3 driver doesn't help my sense of mercy any..

If only we could convince Oleg to install 88mm flak on the TB. Then it would be teh Pwnage!!

...Yeah, it's gonna be one of those days...

I like to use the TB-3 in a bomber style deathmatch. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Convoy attack A/C!

Load that puppy up with the 4x1000 plus the pile of 50s with the delay set to a healthy 15sec. Fly a few feet over the convoy while sprinkling HE goodness all over their happy butts. You will have to absorb a lot of AA but the TB3 is good at that. A short time later, as you are trailing smoke into the sunset your bombs finally silence that pesky AA thats was still peppering you.

As a fighter http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Fly over to the enemy base, turn the plane on its side and strafe anyone trying to take off http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

My first offline campaign mission with the Brewster I encountered 3 TB3s. They were flying at an altitude of 5000m. I didn't actually think that these bombers were used at such a high altitude. I smoked one, but another brewster came in behind me and put in a few more holes in him so he got the kill http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

I tend to use the TB-3 as a dive bomber with bomb timing set to 5 or 6 second delay. Gives me enough time to get out of the way.

Managed to get four enemy fighters on the ground wile playing online once.

I have also used it as a figter v TB-3 and against a Spitfire. Against the Tb-3, the dogfight was a draw. Against the Spitfire, I won.

Anyway very versitile bomber, just a little slow.

You forgot about its acrobatic abilities. How many other planes can be looped while having two planes slung under its wings and a full bomb load?! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Definatly low level attack. Get along side a convoy of vehicles and turn the gunners loose also good for attacking airfields as mentioned

It's outclassed in all areas, but fun in any of them. My favorite is a TB3 dogfight. It's like two Spanish Galleons circling and posturing for the best solution to deliver the decisive blow...all at under 120kph!
