It's in development.

Not by Gibbage though.. i think his model is being used (could be wrong) but the alterations/project is being undertaken by a 'Major Priller'

He's doing the mk.Ia and mk.1b versions.

Look here (http://sukhoi.ru/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=21685). Although for BoB, but be prepared when your jaw hits the floor!

Good golly! That detail is simply amazing. It looks like you should be able to reach out with a virtual wrench and adjust those bolts.

Erbriac,
Any news on the mossie and whether you could
use my help or not?

The details are quite photorealistic, but I'm afraid that the polygon count of one single pedal alone would exceed the limit set for the entire aircraft. Am I wrong?

For BoB the polycount has been raised QUITE A BIT.

Well I'm now struggling with the bomb racks, fuel tanks and rockets. Every drawing I have has different bombrack (shape and size), I have drawing only for 20lb. rockets but not for 60lb. and no drawing for the rails. Only photos from bad angle where you can't see the length of the rails. Also the fuel tanks are of different shape on each drawing. If you have something, then mail me please! I got only the 3 Mosquito Squadron-Signal publications.

I have emailed with the people at Maddox Games and the actual ordnance won't be a problem, because they already have models of 250 and 500lb. bombs and 20lb. rockets (3-inch). But the 60lb. ones they don't have but neither do I have the plans for modelling them http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif.

Otherwise all is going along pretty well.

Great stuff about the Mossie. Would LOVE to see one flying, have a family interest in the type from WWII.

Well if that picture is real and the polycount is that high http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif...I'm afraid we're all going to have to buy new computers to play the thing....

I don't think the polycount is THAT high. Ok must be higher that current models but IMO which gives it this superior look is increased texture quality (I don't know much bigger than the current 256x256) and intelligent use of alpha cuts, as in the upcoming I-185 cockpit.

Or at least that's what I hope http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Well, trying to do my best. You know, the modelling community at Netwings is quite big, the developers know about it, but no one comes and says "Hi, guys, unfortunately we won't be able to support your work after the end of June due to work on PF, BoB...etc. etc." What we knew, was the interwiev with Oleg, where he stated that as long as the models are perfect, there will be always one guy at 1C importing them, even when others will work on BoB. So, now there is a load of planes in the near finished state, which will either make it or no. But I hope there will be a small chance for importing cockpits to finished planes in some later patches...
