I have recently bought this game. The dealer told me that there where a lot of servers that brought a ongoing historical campaign that anyone could join, some virtual WWII virtual airwar for the eastern front.
I have found hyperlobby and thats all.

I am fond of german planes and have tried the FW190 but it stalls all the time. Are there some settings to fix. I use hotas cougar for joystick.
It seems as when I fly straight at speed of 300km/h and elevates to maximum, the plane stalls emediatly.
When I try to bank hard from level flight at 300km/h it stalls to.

I have joined hyperlobby dogfight servers flew FW 190 and been shoot/crashed all the time.

It dont seem to hit what I am aming for.
I shoot with all my guns at close range, the plane fills my circle. Some fragment loosened from the plane but nothing more.

Where are all the ongoing virtual airwar servers.

From there you find links to a couple of very good sites. And from those sites again you can get completely lost wandering through the IL-2 community.

So, make sure to bring a lot of food and a survival kit. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

A nice one to start is http://www.il2skins.com
and Mudmovers (I just don't recall their new address). And http://www.netwings.org/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboard.cgi is nice to be kept up to date a little about some projects.

But there are lots of site, depending on what you are looking for.

On your questions on how to fly the 190 look around this board for some how to fly the 190 threads but the short of it this plane is inclined to shock stall in exactly the conditions you describe. Don't yank on the stick in this plane feed it in gently instead.
If you like flying German IMO the 109 is an easier plane to learn on.

As for the gunnery set your gun convergences correctly and practice it'll take some time to be able to hit accuratel and hard every time.

- Never look back. Something might be gaining on you

At Hyperlobby click where it says 'General Room'.
This will bring up a list of other rooms.
VEF etc.
Hope this helps.

Yes,yes I see you have a way to go. Dont worry we've all been there at some point.

The salsman wasnt lieing to you, there is such a campaign(in fact several). In hyperlobby click on the screen where it says "general room" and you will be able to select other rooms. This is were you will find what you are looking for. Also you should practice a bit off-line before joining an on-line game. As you have already learnd in can be brutal for a rookie player out there. The campaigns you are intrested in run at full real settings which means that you will get your a.s.s. kicked alot! This can ruin your confidence in the start so, as I said before, take some time to learn the basics before going on-line

You couldnt have found a more difficult plane to master that the FW-190. I suggest you take somthing a bit more "user frendly" to begin with. A spit perhaps? Or some of the Russian Turn 'n' Burners. If you still wish to go with the 190 you can search the forum for threads about the 190.

you can also fly at ubicom, the software came with the game, if you still have probs with the 190 being twitchy then you can tweak the settings ingame to reduce the sensitivity of the stick.. but give it time and it will come, also use flaps to your advantage http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
