Hi

I just bought IL2 FB. Where can I find a good profile for Saitek X45 flight stick?

There is a supplied il2 profile on the flightstick CD, but it's kinda weird - throttle is controlled by rotary2. So I am looking for a good profile (like a Precog LO:MAC profile)

Newbie questions will follow, when i start playing http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifReally you have to program the switches to suit how you want to use things.
On the THROTTLE ,i use the top rotary switch for prop pitch and the lower one for elevator trim.
The orange button is my cannons, mini joystick is set up for gear and brakes and the small black button to the left of that is to centre the view for track ir .
I use the switch on the front of the throttle near the top rotary switch for flaps.
I DONT use the rudder switch, aux and mode switches at all.
On the JOYSTICK the hat switch is mapped for WEP,Map and radiator,A- button = gunsight zoom view toggle and the red button on the front is for transmitting on T/Speak.
Thats it really http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
Oh i have rudders and track ir 3 as well so i don't need views mapped or use the rudder switch on throttle.

Try here: http://www.geocities.com/adlabs6/B/#X45

I downloaded his profile, which is pretty good, and edited to my style/needs.

It's kind of a pain starting from scratch.

I can't say enough good things about assigning the three views to the aux 123 buttons on the throttle http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

I too use the X45 profile listed by TugZooey - saves a lot of time setting one up for yourself especially if you are new to the game and dont really know what you need just yet. There is a useful guide to the profile that you can download with it. It lists all the functions for all the buttons etc. Its great I 've been using it almost unchanged for the last 6 months. Adlabs6 rocks!!

Welcome to a great sim and a great forum (keep checking the boards for all the latest news, gossip and silly ramblings) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif.
