View Full Version : Bombs On The Zero?

Are we going to get bombs for this plane,they could carry up to 120kg (265lb) of bomb/s,it would be nice to have some instead of the Zero now in FB with only the Droptank http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/52.gif

Yes that would be nice to have.
Also I believe the A6M5 was able to carry one 250Kg bomb under the fuselage (mainly for Kamikaze attacks AFAIK).

MetalGear, I think you are correct, but not always for Kamikaze missions. It makes sense too, if the early Zeros could carry the heavy drop tank it could certainly carry a small 250lb bomb. The late war model A6M7 Rei-sen (or Model 63) was actually built to be a fighter-bomber. It had a Sakae 31 with water-meth injection, five guns, and was beefed up to carry up to a 551lb (250kilo) bomb. That model entered service in May of 1945. LongHorn

I think the A6M5 was modified to carry bombs in combat but that didn't happen till 1944 as I recall. We've got an earlier model of the plane so that may explain why it has no bombs.

The plane that i was talking about in my first post was the A6M2 which i'm sure we're getting.
