Hopefully the developers are reading these boards. I would like to suggest a control tweak before the release of the full version.

For me, and many of the other people that have been lucky enough to play the demo, the "ruberband" effect on the looking control can be very discouraging. What I mean is, when i press the analog stick to look in a direction, there is a split second delay before the camera acctually starts to move. And when it does start to move, because of the delay, your brain wants to press it longer than you really need to. Thus causing a "over stear". It makes it pretty hard to be accurate when aiming.

Hopefully this makes sence, and hopefully it is not too late to tweak this before the release of the full version. Either way I will be getting the game. But this fix woould greatly add to the gaming experience if resolved.

Thanks!

I just thought of something. I remember the old Microsoft PC controllers allowing you to customise the "dead zone" in the analog sticks. This would be a great feature for customising controls on Rainbow Six 3. As of now, the "dead zone" seems a little to big.

just for you info guys these games are all being packaged and i would be suprised if they weren't completely packed yet. so the game is complete. it drops in less than a month. all of these statement about your paticular problems are things that you have to deal with because the game is not changing.

its not the camera Im talking about. Its the dead zone in the analog stick. its almost like a lag when looking around.

I agree with you -- but saddly i think its too late -- but remember -- we are playing a demo that was a VERY early build

so... they prolly figured it out -- I have to this date never played a TC ubi FPS that didnt have good controls

i just thought Raven shield gave crappy fps :-)

you mean frames per second?

not really, providing you had a good computer. i only have a 1 ghz amd with a geforce 4 128 mb, and i get a steady 60fps only dropping to about 40 if multiple guys are shooting and throwing grenades all at once, which happens rarely.

Yeah, dead zones need to be erradicated in my opinion, I hate them, accurate aiming is made much harder.
