What is with all these 'if I buy a car' similies on Raven-Shield. I'M getting TIRED of these, and the next person to compare thier copy of RvS to a car is getting a dirty diaper in they mailbockz.

Sure I hate RvS as much as you do. But WHY does it have to be compared to a car? If I buy a car and it has a flat tire I shoot the car dealer. If I buy a game with bugs I hit my sister in the face.

If I buy a case of macaroni and cheeze, and it tastes like pee. It is not my job to make macaroni and chiese. Even though I can't kooc worth a da,mn.

If this game were a Toyota it would be completely bug-free and run great. As it stands, its about a Ford or a GM http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I don't represent UBI, only myself. And my dad works for Toyota http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

But don't take my word for it. Check out this years J.D. quality report.

I like to think of RvS as a Mercedes Benz, the original, the king of the pack, albeit just not quite as reliable as our old Honda, its still a great car most of the time...so stop complaining....

RVS is a part of the new Ubi line released this past spring 2003. The RVS runs only on premium, unleaded rigs and needs a tuning about every 10 boot ups or 5 minutes.

RVS = Repair Very Shortly, which is what you'll be doing with this fine piece of software.

I think that Ubi Soft is like a Mercedes, because I think that Mercedes' are the worst pieces of poo ever made. They completely and utterly suck. I like RvS and hope that by the time patch 14.5 is here it'll be almost bug free, but for now I have a problem with Ubi constantly lying to the press and fooling the players with false patch-information.

Funniest R6-quote ever:

"Rainbow Six fans have given high praises to Raven Shield and have named it an instant classic." said Alain Corre, Ubi Soft's Managing Director

Runner up:

"Yes, we were pleased and believe most of the Rainbow Six players were happy with Raven Shield. Almost all of the posts on forums were positive and it averaged an 85% score with press. It rarely had anything said negatively about it." - Nicola Aitoro, Ubi Soft

Pope, too true... more like Dodge (no offense to the Dodge junkies, I like Dodge myself, but not for their quality exactly /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif )

The comparison is like a car that is a lemon. They try and try and fix it, and no effect. Under the law, you should be able to get a refund or something. But for Ubi, and games, there is no such law to protect us. So therefore, we have to hash it out until the company decides to fix it one day. And what's worse, they may never fix it, and you'll just have to live with a crummy purchase and they don't show any sympathy at all for you in any way, shape, or form.

Please, GM makes the best vehicles in the world. Toyota's are just crappy 3rd rate imports

RVS is more like one of those immitation ferraris. When it's at the dealer it looks like a ferrari, it even smells like one. Tho as soon as you bought it and drive it you'll notice it definitely does not FEEL like a ferrari. That is, if you're one of the lucky few who actually get it to go above 15 mph.

If this game were a car, it would be neat to look at, like a Ferrari or Lamborghini, but too expensive to fix. That's what it's like, a Lamborghini being dropped from the top of the Sears tower with you inside...Nice ride, bad finish?

I enjoy this game alot, it's the only game I play on the computer anymore, but there are serious flaws that need to be addressed quickly before all of us loser/voting-age, gamers realize that we can petition Congress to make a lemon law for computer programs. More than three patches to make the game playable equals a lemon, and a company recall.

Don't worry UBI, it won't happen for a generation or so when computer savy politicians began to get elected to the legislature.

Oh, were you saying something? I can't find the 2003 report, but it is more of the same. And that's just initial quality...pick up a Consumer Reports book to see service records for the different manufacturers.

Yeah but I dont hav to base my opinion off of what other have said, I go by personal experience. Plus I would always support a North American product over an import anyday

Toyota makes good cars but the parts are too expensive when something does happen. Chevy's are about the most reliable. I had a blazer and put 287,000 miles on it til I sold it and the thing still ran. Honda is a good cheap car. Fords are made to fall apart. Every ford Ive ever had has done exactly that. As far as mecedes i dont know but a buy a BMW and expect the rear end to go out 2x a year.

Well, this game has been a jalopy from the get go. If they don't fix it within the next month, it's going to be crushed/scrapped in the junk-yard.
