Dude, take a big deep breath, followed up by a chill-pill chaser. If you'r so "on topic" what does Dianna Ross have to do with ANYTHING???

Hmmmm, I thought so. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

What you're looking at are variations of the unofficial Add-on CDs artwork. The CDs contain missions, models, skins and utilities created by the WW2F community and compiled to CDs by "Swiper." The CDs are 'distributed' through a network of volunteers in several countries.

The first Add-on CD was immensely popular when it was released, so a year or so later Swiper began compiling new material for the follow on CD. About the same time a community effort was generated to create artwork for the CD label and jewel case.

The 'babe' design was submitted by "Rammjager", a professional artist and the creator of the "SixGun *****" P-51D model and skin. Ramm made some similarly 'eye catching' banners for the ww2fighters.net site but it was getting some of us in trouble at work ... plus as a whole the community took concern that very young people were visiting the site and we didn't want pre-teens mixing too much sex with their violence.

So, a tamer cover art was selected for the general release. Ramm's designs were included on the CD for anyone who wanted to print them out and use them. The part of the design you don't get to see is a shapely blonde cowgirl with MG ammo belts draped around her arms posing in front of a backdrop of vintage planes -- she's got nothing on except thigh-high boots and a cowboy hat. It's a photo and there are nipples involved ... you get the idea.

BTW, I don't think all of the distributors print the jewel case artwork. My friend Bill Grant takes care of much of the US demand for the CD, and he takes the time to make the CD labels but the copies he sent me were in a thin mailer envelope. The version he sent me has a P-51D flying at you as its label art.

Discussion of this sim on the IL2 forum is getting a bit out of hand. Perhaps you could transfer it to http://oldsite.simhq.com/simhq3/sims/boards/bbs/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=56 ?
