This is by no means a "Definitive" date, and usualy is subject to changes, but i found a proposed release date for SH3 at the GAME store online.
Which generaly means the supplier has given the store an estimated timeline...
They r also taking pre-orders.

Febuary 2005 - UK

That seems to be the latest date so far. I usually use EBworld.com. They are usually correct with the dates. SHIII is in alpha stage so still this can change. It has once already thanks to the dev team accepting our pleas for dynamic campaign.

Again thanks to the dev team for giving us dynamic campaigne

well, yes, it`s a long time, but on the other hand it means we`re going to get quite good game. More time for debugging, polishing, make it optimized and running smoothly.
I think it`s better than just to sit and await one patch after another to be able to play without pain.

February, February...

Ubisoft'll want it out in time for Christmas for obvious reasons, I'd say. But, I'd bet on February '05 like the rest of ya.

I think it was TaskForce who said it's just more time for us to brush up on U-boat tactics (or something along those lines, at least)

Cheers

It is probably the real one. I had one experience wit the expansion of Vietcong (Fist Alpha)- which came out in the UK about a week before. I don't know why they do this. But I'm going to start getting the games from the UK instead of US, because they sometimes have little extras, like bad words, blood, etc.... I'm not saying that I'm amused by this, but it's much more realistic, and I'm not affected by it. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif

In my case Feb is perfect date - just after the exams, ideal time for playing.

February is perfect for me too. My birthday is on the 16th.
I'm really looking forward to this game and hope the folks at UBI get it done for us.
