I am upgrading to the Catalyst 4.1 drivers. I downloaded them and they seem to install just fine. But when they're done I don't have that cool little taskbar item that lets me change the resolution and such. At first I thought that it just didn't come with the 4.1 drivers, but then I went to Properties/settings and clicked on the Customize button and I just get a generic winxp settings window instead of the ATI one I had before with all the different tabs and the adjustments for a million little things. What did I do wrong? I have the horrible feel I screwed something up.

If you dont have a control panel, they are not installed right.

How big is the driver file you downloaded? Depending on which one you have, it should be 24MB Plus for the driver/control panel combo.

In the control panel, you can check the CAT version under the "Options" tab. It's a lot easier for me to look there, rather than trying to pick the CAT number out of the driver file name itself.
