Oleg,

I understand that you are busy with about a zillion things including BoB (which I am quite excited about), but I'd like to respectfully ask for a hopefully minor change to the FB squadron numbering system before 1C/Maddox ceases work on FB after the paid addon is completed.

As it stands now the numbering system in the arming screen is historical which is excellent but I think the option to use a simplified and customizable system would be a great addition to the game.

Many squadrons in the game are not historical and would prefer a simple numbering system that works for their command and control style and such an option would be a good thing for those who fly mixed fighter elements but would still like to have a unified numbering scheme.

It would be ideal to have the option to set your section color and your number without regard to country or year by simply typing them in the proper field while in the arming screen.

For example, I might select country Germany if flying a 190 but set my section color to be 'black' and my bumper number to '6'...then if I flew a 1943 FW it would still be black 6 (instead of red 6) and would still be black 6 if I changed my country to USA and flew a P51 or changed to USSR and flew an IL2. As it is right now, my in game callsign will change from black-6 to red-6 to ZZ+FK or just plain 6 depending on what plane, country or year I fly. While not the most crippling issue in the world obviously, it would be a neat feature to have that additional touch of having a more or less permanent callsign displayed in game.

If this were possible, we could have a consistent numbering scheme appear in game even if players selected different country markings and had different year planes, something that I think many squads would appreciate.

Any consideration for this idea would be very much appreciated.

Very respectfully,

here's 1 more. lol

I'd like to be able to use a more historical numbering system for the us. i think it'd be a better idea if we could just type them in on the arming screen.

Wholeheartedly agree!

Include non-numbered callsigns for the on-screen view.

I know this can be done for non-american planes (by amending files in I forget which folder), but as of now it cannot be done for Amercian planes. For example, you want your P-51 to be viewed as "YD-T", instead of "01" or some other number.

As is mentioned earlier, this procedure should also be made easier to do overall - such as typing in the letter/number identifier at the arming screen.

Naturally, to keep out profanity and useless rambling-ons. a character maximum of (4) letters/numbers (I've witnessed German planes with a ZZ-AF designator) should be established. This should suit most users.
