Transports are boring, but I sure would like to have a few good ones flyable.

Hows abouts a C-46 Commando

A C-47 Dakota

or a C-69 Constellation

I'm not sure what you could do with them, but it would be cool trying to come up with something.

Was thinking of the C-46 today.
Would be nice to see the Burma road and some flying the hump route.
The maps would be most interesting.
The C-47 was a war winning plane and should be flyable.
For some late models maybe "Puff the Magic Dragon".

C-47's with all the toys hangin' out the side were Vietnam era, not WWII era. Even for a '46 planeset it would be a stretch http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I agree with you SkyChimp. Flying transports would be very interesting, especially for coops and campaigns. Another type that should be flyabe are the observation and "army cooperation" types. Some of us Pigs were online the other night in a scriped server that had no map icons of any type and were commenting on comms how beneficial it would be to have a "Grasshopper" or an "Owl" in the air to find the targets before commiting all our assets and leaving our field undefended.

Yes Puff would be alittle late. Still it would be nice to see it in action.
The transports and observation planes should be added into the game .
Transports should be given different load outs such as air field construction eguipent, gasoline and small howizers.
The observation planes given the chance to call in artillery or navel gun fire.
These additions would give these aircraft some fun things to do.

with transport planes you could actually drop parachute troops and in co-op type missions/campaigbns they could affect the map too etc.

Unfortunaltely the only thing that paratroops affect now are frame rates.

Before transports, a simulator of pacific airwar must be have torpedo planes based-carrier flyable: KATE, JILL, DEVASTATOR or AVENGER.
