This is where the allies where pushing the german's over at caen. The goal I guess was to take out the armor.Or something like that.My question is what airfields did the Allies hold?

can't answer your question but was browsing in a book shop on the way hone and found a nice looking book called 'the air war over Normandy' (but didn't buy).

Crashing online as :FI:SpinyNorman

Normally Spiny Norman was wont to be about
twelve feet from snout to tail, but when Dinsdale was depressed Norman could be
anything up to eight hundred yards long.

In the book The D-Day Atlas it basically said Lancs and wellintons flew from England to carpet bomb areas of Caen. Other then that they used Forward Airfeild. Basically found some flat ground and said yep this is an Airfield

Tha Allies built makeshift airfields using steem mesh on fields. These where called B1, B2, B3 etc. The 331 and 332 Norwegian squadron used one named B12 in Holland. Probably you can use some of the grass stripes close to the coast and name them B-soemthing in the briefing.

provides some excellent information on allied airfields in the Normandy area during the post invasion phase of the operation.

All the best, Don
