I will not stop until someone proves that i'm wrong. Show me one picture of a Bf110 with an open backwindow and I'll shut up immediatly

I'll have to check my vintage Luftwaffe Magazines on that, there are a few pictures from the BoB, which, I suppose, was the timeframe for the C 110.

Thank you that would be nice. I just posted that cause i couldn't find any pic or model in another game which looks like the one we got. Maybe you can find one.

Well Gershy, to use the words of a famous man, "you is wrong"./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

For proof, find the Squadron/Signal In Action book #1030. On pg 32 there is a photo taken by a gunner just after he shot down a Spifire (it is in the photo) and the canopy cover is 'up'. This a/c had a cut-out/notch for the mounted mg.

For more proof see pg 16 in the above mentioned book of a machine from I./ZG 76. Pg 15 has another photo which also shows a lack of a cut-out/notch for the mg. The framing runs all the way across, just as in FB's 110C-4 a/c.

A closed canopy would restrict the gunner's field of fire even with the cut-out/notch.

If there is any modelling error, it would be the lower frame of the canopy. There are other photos which have the bar/frame and glazing removed. This is in addition to the cut-out/notch version of canopy.

Ok thank you all very much.

So the window in the early versions on the pics i found was closed while flying around and opened when in combat to fire right?

ok model is correct. I just wanted to make sure. thnx all. btw,

Anyone knows which was the first version where it stayed closed? I know the G versions had the window closed, any earlier versions too?
