"GeForce FX will provide dynamic light sources and soft dynamic shadows cast from anything onto anything and bump-mapping on all surfaces which at least exceeds the Doom 3 technology. "

I find this really hard to believe. It says, AT LEAST exceeds the Doom 3 technology? Well, it might be true as Doom 3's engine is designed with a DX8 level in their mind (its API is not DirectX API, but it's largely based on DX8-level hardware's features). Things like Soft Shadowing and Pixel Shader 2.0 are not supported by GF4 or down. And also notice how they keep refering to GF3, 4, and FX, and not ATI cards.

Well, you might be right. My previous post lacks the most important thing to be included in the writing, the point of the writing itself. Anyway, notice their overreferring to GF3, 4, FX (as though emphasizing it). It seems that they somehow have made like a connection (or maybe.... conspiracy?) to Nvidia. They could've said DX8 / DX9 hardware instead of GF3, 4 or FX. Anyway, that's just my ramble. Nevermind that.

I got a feeling this game would run well on Nvidia's DX9 hardware. And if that really be the case, we all shall suspend our judgement about Nvidia GFFX being the bad DX9 performers, just because it can't run the Half Life 2's DX9 rendering path in the full precision smoothly.

I hope you are right.
I love nvidia but ati is too strong.
Hope that STALKER will help them.
