Don't you guys think Ubisoft should give the ac2 dlc away for free by now? I never bought it because I don't want to support cutting parts out of a game in the way they did it with ac2. AC2 released a couple of years ago and I don't think much people still buy the dlc. So yeah I think it is clear what I want, FREE STUFF!!!

I think when I downloaded it, it was like two years or so after I played the game. By that time it felt like something special and gave me a reason to return to the game which was great. I'm not big on the concept of DLC's either generally (not sure if I'm morally opposed to them though) but for the older AC games I never got them straight on release for various reasons so I didn't mind spending the money to return to some of my favorite games. I'm not sure if they ever would offer it free but it would be nice. Is Ubisoft nice? I don't know. :p

They are on sale about once a year for a couple of bucks. If you haven't played them by now, you should. Or maybe it's too late. Anyway, I thought they were quite good.

They're not going to go back to AC2, it's in the past now. Besides, there's no reason for them to make it free. Dead Kings was a special circumstance...

The GAME OF THE YEAR edition of AC2 has both missions threaded into the main narrative. It is quite cheap, you know, as good as making it free. It doesn't even have promo codes or anything, so you can probably get it second hand if that's your kind of thing.

I bought AC2's GOTY edition and I can't imagine how the game cut it out to start with.

Dead Kings violated the first law of DLC...you must not lose the company valuable cash. I mean that was meant to be a cheap cash grab and they had to give that for free to everyone.

That said, I do believe that in theory AC2 DLC should be made free because unlike the other DLC its a crucial part of the main story and features Ezio's greatest character speech, and provides important character moments between Ezio, Machiavelli and Caterina Sforza which makes it valuable for Brotherhood as well.

The other DLC (Da Vinci Disappearance, Copernicus Conspiracy, Lost Archive, Tyranny of King Washington, Freedom Cry, Dead Kings) are actually new content. New stories, new maps, new gameplay, new protagonist.

I think it's the only AC game, that I've played so far, where you gotta buy dlc if you want to get the 100% sync in the dna folder. So yeah, why not.

Is there 100% synch in AC2. I never did find it.

Can't remember if the % is displayed in the dna folder (gosh darn brain is fuzzy all the time). Although I'm sure you can view the sync % in the stats menu (animus desktop>options>stats), also the save file should show it as well.

Sync for what ? There's nothing like a stats menu in the game (you can not even replay anything, so no reason for sync). The first one with sync, stats, and challenges was Brotherhood.

The overall/total sync displayed in that menu - iirc - represents all of the main story missions, side missions, certain collectibles, and dlc. So what I was saying is that if someone doesn't have the dlc then they can't earn that 100%. I'm pretty sure we can replay the assassination contracts in AC2. Similar to AC1, where we can replay memories for fun, since optional objectives didn't exist until ACB.

Err... i don't have the DLCs but 100%. The DLCs are just some optional missions and not needed for completion. This changed with Brotherhood and also Sync was added. If you miss to do some stuff in a memory and the Desmond part before the end of sequence 8 in AC2, then you'll also miss 3 Trophies.

I've checked it and there's no way to replay anything that is already finished. This changed with Brotherhood.
