Recently took a road trip over to the Gig Harbor area in washington and cannon beach right on the oregon coast. Was a great trip for the most part, was really nice to do some camping with friends. Unfortunately it was a bit bittersweet. On the second day we were driving to a nearby rainforest on the olympic penninsula, we were in a convoy of 3 cars. We just pulled out of an intersection and I hear a loud crack. I look around to see one of our vehicles smoking, and someone elses spinning out of control. Thankfully no one was hurt, damage was minimal, and what I thought was smoke was actually some residue from the airbag deployment. Everyone was pretty shaken up though, myself included. Firefighters, Medics, Police came (and remarkably quick I might add), and checked with everyone. Unfortunately the Police officer could have been a wee bit nicer. After talking with him a couple people were nearly at tears. When he walked over to the car to look at damages, I was standing there next to my sensei (he organized our little expidition). The officer starts to walk by me, stops, turns to look at me, and just then I realized I had a USMC Ka-Bar knife on my belt http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif .

"What are you doing with a rambo knife, son?".

As he asked me that I could see out of the corner of my eye my sensei covering his utility knife with his shirt and looking up at the sky nonchalantly. I answered "We're on a camping trip", and my sensei added that it was 4 days and we needed some utility knives.

Officer eyes me and says "You shouldn't carry stuff like that around, that's dangerous".

I told him that if it would make him feel any better I would put it in the car, and he walks away like nothing happened, with no response to my statement.

After a minute of standing there looking at the wreck, he says "Why don't you go put that in the car, son".

Why he couldn't say that when we were face to face I will never know.

With that exception it was a great trip. Rainforest was awesome along with its waterfalls and...well, everything. Some of the stuff we saw looked fake it was so impressive.

Anyway, enough of the trip's rundown, on to these airshow pics I have promised and not yet delivered http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

The Warhawk is one of my favorite fighters. That, and the Dora.

I'm just glad these pics didn't turn up as a bunch of red x's again http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Thanks for posting.Good shots. The clouds really adds atmosphere, especially on flying planes.

A tip
If U have photoshop its Quick and easy to enhance colors in cloudpictures like these, just by increasing "saturation" a bit.
Another is to hit "autolevels" and see if it improves( or both). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
