I highly recommend them. If you are in the market for some or you have about $50 or so to burn... (unless of course you work for a best Buy or something along those lines and get some kind of discount.. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif) I highly recommend them over conventional headphones. Just configure windows sound tro default to your sound card because it will pick up the headphones as another sound device. Configure the comms you are using (more than likely either Ventrillo or Team Speak) to transmit and recieve off the USB device and you are set. It is so neat having the sim sounds in my speakers and the comms in my headphones.... I got the Logitech ones for $30..... I think they are $49 regularly. Thanks to all the folks who helpedme get them right.

Hmm, but USB soundcard or headset is huge resource hog compared to PCI and south bridge sound devices.

-= 8 1 5 =- FB Dedi Server is coming soon. (with AEP Dedicated Server)
100Mb IDC line, P4 2.8G server.
Full real but limited icon, minimap path and spdbar.
You can expect something, since I run the server myself. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I got both, I use the ol' crappy set.
Less system draw. Better scores.
With USB headset, I had to run drivers at "minimal"
I do like them better tho' too bad. Maybe the next uber sound card will handle it better.
But my Audigy card sucks

What benefit is there to a USB headset? It seems like using them at the same time as speakers would only serve to obstruct the sound from your speakers. I only use my headset when the wife and kids are sleeping. I spent too much money on my Klipsch ProMedia surround system to block out the incredible sound with headphones.

This might be a very naive question: do you still hear the game thru the speakers and comm in the headset or does everything go thru the headset?
