I still have a good time with Mig Alley now and again. I just have never been able to get into jets the way I can a prop sim.
Still IMO it has one of the better single player campaigns. The flight model is above average and while the ground & object detail isn't on a par with FB or IL 2 the planes themselves are respectable

I always have just enough fuel to arrive at the scene of my crash.

MIG Alley from Rowan for me.

Despite aged looks it has a wonderful campaign system and is still developed, albeit slowly as the source code is in the hands of dedicated modders/programmers. They also did and still do great things to Rowans Battle of Britain sim.

Mig Alley is the best Korean War era flight sim, flight modeling is superb, very simular to the IL-2 series. Gunnery lags a bit since it uses hit boxes, otherwise gunnery is the same and translates well from one sim to the other. Graphics are a bit dated for the most, but in some areas quite advanced like canopy glint and reflection of other aircraft in the distance. Flak is pretty good also.

All we need is the F-86, Mig-15 and the Korean map to make that complete.

We are actualy building an Early Korean War DF server virtual Battle field at the moment, for FB.
When our DF server goes back Online for the first time in about 6 months, we where going to host this DF server Scenario Online in the Hyper Lobby.
Because the Mig 15 was faster and more heavily armed than the P-80 in FB we where going to allow the P-80 on both sides, plus a few prop aircraft on each side, you know p 51 on United nations side, and a yak or two on the Communist side.
We will be simulating the Communist Counter attack at the Chosin reservoir district, when China entered the war in Korea.
Using a Winter Map for realism, recreating when a million Communist troops equipped for Winter combat counter attacked in the cause of Communism, over running the entire United Nations line.
Certain Victory for the United Nations in Korea was turned into a disastrouse head long retreat.
Many United Nations forces encircled and trapped trying to fight their way south ward out of the advancing Chinese Horde, calling in air suppoert etc.
Plenty of ground targets of opportunity for both sides, resulting in dog fights and the air superiority tussle over head with the jets etc.
The DF server Scenario wil be Titled
Chosin Reservoir,
Hosted by the JG77 DF server.

I love early jet fighters, I hope 1C does this.

1C would do better making 1950s jet sim which included "Korea." This would allow Fans of French and Swedish jets something to like. Plus the most interesting jets came after Korea like Hawker Hunter and Folland Gnat and MiG~17 and MiG~19.

and CF~100 would offer something for the LEXX fans http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Oh, and F~89 and F~102 Awsum!!

La~15 will be the Noob plane
