Hey people, I recently bought forgotten battlees and the ace expansion pack. Which I have really enjoyed and I can see all my other hobbies slipping away from me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif. One question tho I saw another pack for the game called battle over europe. I'm right in thinking that it is pre aces?. If it is does it give any added bonus after ace installation?.

Cheers for the help and guidance.

Battle Over Europe (not to be confused with a third product called Combat Over Europe) is an 'addon' that includes Dynamic Campaigns (namely Western campaigns using the freely included Normandy and Ardennes maps). There is a good review at www.Netwings.Org (http://www.Netwings.Org) . It is created by Starshoy and Luthier, who are previously community members that have started there own enterprise with Oleg (they are also working on the upcoming 'Pacific Fighters'). I believe it is well liked, and it will recieve a patch (free) soon to include the aircraft from Ace Expansion Pack (such as the Me110 or P38), as well as aircraft from the upcoming AEP patch (such as the SpitIX). As I understand it requires quite a bit of computer horsepower due to the large formations of aircraft (namely B-17s) in the game (it is scaleable).

Combat Over Europe is a different bear again, it is a mission/skin pack, including very large and detailed scripted (linear type) campaigns. I believe it is created by 'Viking' (aka Leonard H.) amongst others, also all community members.

Pacific Fighters will be the upcoming release from 'Rocket Powered Games' (again, Starshoy and Luthier amongst many others), which will include all new content focusing on the Pacific Theater of Operations. It will use the Il2/Forgotten Battles engine, likely with some tweaks/improvements.

Battle Of Britain is the all-new game in developement by Maddox Games (Oleg and Crew), which will focus on its namesake to begin with. It will be all new technology and likely very differnt (read: Better) than our current favorite. Estimated release in 2005, which is pretty optimistic, possibly will be later, 2006.

It's not pre-AEP no, well not exactly, its an add-on, it will work with AEP, it will give you campaigns and skins - most people that I heard about it are positive.
