I read the following in an article about female fighter pilots at http://www.elknet.pl/acestory/raskov/raskov.htm:
"The crew could not escape, because parachutes were not provided until the summer of 1944"
This is taken from a story about the "Night Witches". I wondered if this was true for all the airplanes at that time, or were these only the "Night Witches" that weren't provided with parachutes?

Yes, I read the article thank you. But I don't see any reason the fact they were women or the fact they were flying biplanes should disallow them wearing parachutes.
