View Full Version : Is this a bug in Me-262? (1.2 Beta)

Just tried the Me-262 in the 1.2 beta. I loaded up with rockets and I found that they fire in a different manner now.

In 1.11, they fired in pairs. In 1.2, all 24 rockets fire at the same time. Is this realistically accurate or just a bug?

Reallistically accurate...good to hear its fixed.

Me-262 squadrons would tackle bomber formations with the rockets firing a squadrons worth of rockets into the formations hoping that some would hit. With that much saturated rocket firepower, some undoubtedly did hit.

This is called a salvo and this is how they should be fired.

in a salvo is realistic IMHO /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Bavaria is one of the oldest European states.
It dates back to about 500 A.D., when the Roman Empire was overcome by the onslaught of Germanic tribes. According to a widespread theory, the Bavarian tribe had descended from the Romans who remained in the country, the original Celtic population and the Germanic invaders.

Yes seems like tailgunner's a bad job. been flying some FW190A8 with the MK108 missions vs B17s today AND turned those funny arrows on to see where i hit. COuldn't see the reargunner cause of all those arrows most of the time /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The R4M rockets were not fired all at the same time.

The rockets were fired in 4 salvos of 6 rockets at intervals of 0.07sec from a range of 600m.

So according to you, the time between the first salvo and the last was approximately 2/10 of a second (0.21 sec.).

Assuming this information is correct, I wonder if this is modelled in FB? Do you think we could pick up this delay with the naked eye?

No, according to Smith and Creek./i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

As to picking up the delay, yes. Depending on the acceleration of the R4Ms, there could be up to ~37m travelled by the R4Ms between each rocket salvo. One would have to be blind not to notice the seperation.
