...one of the early birds, which together with the F2A and TBD were the lesser elements of the USN's available types during those all important first months?

Sorry for the double post, but since the F2A is already assured (thanks), I was hoping to see these two other rare types make an appearance as well.

Buffalo, Devastator and Vindicator!

This trio is now mostly forgotten, surpassed by the well know F4F, SBD and TBF, but IMHO deserve to be remembered and if possible modeled in a sim series that started with the "less popular" Eastern Front.

Unfortunately I can't comment on the plane list at this point. You gyus are going to have to wait a few weeks. Like I said, more info should be released around E3 time (mid-May)

Indeed I was expecting a similar answer, but you cannot fault a guy for starting his campaign as early possible.

But you are right, only after your official announcement can the serious campaigning (read nagging) begin.

Judging by the PF forum there's a nice little fan core starting to form up. In terms of (sales) potential you might score a bigger hit than the original.

Although the AEP patch is now utmost in my mind, the PF stands way on top in my sim land list.

...and I am usually not that "fan boy-like".

I think most people would like to have SB2C over SB2U unless if we will play alot in in early campaige. It's nickname is "Vibrator" due to the noise and vibrations so maybe it can be add extra realistic "head shake" realistic.

Agreed, but my guess is we don't have to worry about flyable Helldivers (nor Avenger, nor any other USN mainstay), hence I'm requesting some lesser known a/c that held the line during those "critical" early months.

OTOH on the other side of the hill we have more uncertainty, and I hope that the Suisei and Tenzan will make its appearance as flyables - late war Naval types that are often neglected in sims in favor of the old Val and Kate having to soldier on as flyables to the bitter end.

But indeed any speculation and campaigning is premature as long as we haven't seen an official types list.
