Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Sweeeeeet!!!! Great job Leadspitter. Is there any way to get 3 additional numbers (the weathered font looks terrific) to make a flight of 4? If not, what font are you using for the numbers? Thanks and I appreciate the great skin work you do.

A beaut LS! You have obviously spent some time on this one. Now beat up those leading edges and weather that number. Mark up that port wing butt and give us some boot prints. She's rugged looking and a treat to gaze at. But she's not war worn. Show her as she would have looked after a hard go in the air campaign. This is a purely selfish request as I enjoy war weary aircraft and not the pristine paint jobs so readily available. But if I've got ya pegged right, you are never REALLY done with a paint job, are ya? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif You have the talent and I hope ya got the patience. Looking forward to an update.......hehe.

BTW, great job of basing it on the jpg's ya included with the download.

leadspitter. im gonna be blunt and honest as heck. first i could never really do skins. even bad ones. that out of the way...

your first attempts at skins leadspitter were not that great. somewhat shiny unrealistic looking. i didnt like them. then you started picking up speed. getting better.which is to be expected that first trys will not be great.

youve been decent for a long while but now...now you are getting some serious detail . some attractive skins. i have started downloading your skins now.
but after your gustav is it? the one with the red nose and now this. you have ARRIVED leadspitter. your now part of the creme of the skinners now. keep practicing your now top notch. and THATS my honest opinion.

I'm very impressed! The work that you and others put into these skins is great. This is a Art Form in it's self. Someone should print these in a book. Thank You and to all the people who have taken the time to give the rest of us a little something extra that make life good! Thank's

Bright is what keeps the detail thx to hotspace and canonuk, on most my psds they have extreme detail but when saving them in photoshop to bmp you loose most of the detail, saving them with bright keeps the same detail as the psd, for example with my old p51 polished aluminum, when saved to bmp it puts a bluish streak down the plane. Sometime in the future ill put a really detailed p51 template out with dull matte, I dont really care for goodwoods, avirex's or mine. This one is definatly the best job by sooty compairing them all next to each other

For those interested in Bright you can download it here

Bright for FB, Hotspace made a .bat file so all you do is save your skin as a regular 24bit bmp, put it in the bright folder and run the .bat file then place the skin into your paintschemes/aircraft/planetype folder.

Thanks Willyvic. Still moderating the Netwings and Sim Outhouse IL-2/FB forums but have not flown in a while due to work load.

And Leadspitter ignores my pleas for a bare metal B-17.

*sigh*

What a sight that would be . . . . .
