It would be interresting to hear your opinion in this matter.

For me track recordings are 50% of the fun since reviewing them reveals so much tactical info, especially onlineTracks.
Normally U only see a small part of the battle from c*ckpit, and I really enjoy getting the whole picture.

Important to me, as for the same reasons as ob_swe said but also for getting good screenshots http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

When I used to fly EAW and at the end of a good or bad sortie, I would think, "All this needs is a replay opton to see how I really flew and what I did right or wrong. (sigh...)"

IL2/FB was a dream come true, although IL2 replay was rather buggy at the beginning. It wouldn`t record properly.

Very Important We use them for fun as well as training. I have missions built just for flight training. That I use for advancement in rank. Not to mention on a 1v1 you can trade tracks and see just how bad you suck LOL

Have you checked your Private Topics recently? (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=ugtpc&s=400102)

thanx for the input..........well Realkill it is kind of important for me to know bcause I am making a series of tactical discussions where i include online tracks for more detailed descriptions. For the moment the trackoption is messed up since u cant see Ur own shooting.

At the moment Im planning a track and discussion showing other things than shooting.

cheers...

Ob_swe, do you have space on your PC for an install of 1.21?
That apparently works and you get the gun effects http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That is one of the main features that endeared me to IL2. I had never knew it was possible. And the way they do it is so cool....just record the inputs.....use the sim itself to generate the track.

I cant do without it really. I love seeing what I did, sometimes it looks great and sometimes I find out how stupid my moves were. And I've also learned alot from what others did in order to take me down.

As B16Enk said, make another FB directory with it patched only to 1.21 (if you have room). The tracks you make in 1.22 can be played there.

You do know about this (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=63110913&m=131102661), right? If not, I am glad I could point you there. I am sure 1C will find a cure. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I was watching track replays of online and offline games long before I dabbled with movie making. My main incentive for buying FB was that I would be able to record online tracks.
It's great fun watching some of your victories again and there is the added dimension of watching other aircraft in combat away from your own fight. Slow motion, different camera angles, fly-bys. I love track playback!!!!
...and now I make movies too http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I am just a little saddened that Ubi have now broken track playback for the sake of a few cheaters online. For all the time I have played online I think I have maybe encountered cheaters once or twice...?
...and what's worse is that we have to pay for the fix... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I know there is a workaround, but why should it be up to us to fix it...?

Track has at least three important benefits:

1) Critique. What went right, wrong. What can I do to fix it?
2) Big Picture. Let's you see what happened elsewhere, with your squadmates, from enemy perspective, on the ground, etc.
3) Entertainment. Like watching a movie in which you had a part. When I get it right, I want to see how good I looked doing it.

It is a key differentiation for FB, I think.

Winning isn't everything;
It's the only thing!

Important for screenshots and analysing what I made wrong when flying (specially online). http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

It is the reason I did not initially get CFS3. I wish Janes WWII fighter had track recordings because of the great Ground and air wars you could set up with that game, but you are too busy flying to appreciate it.

CEM, cockpits, track recording , and huge planset are the major reasons I got FB.

Theyre pretty important...just when you were about to film a mission for a movie http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
